LIFE-GIVING WOUNDS MISSION: To help young adults and adults with divorced or separated parents understand their wounds, give voice to their pain, and find deep transformative healing through Catholic peer-led retreat ministries and support groups, online ministry and outreach, print and digital resources, promotion of effective psychological care in congruence with Catholic teaching, and other creative means.

JOB SUMMARY: Life-Giving Wounds is seeking a dynamic individual to become our Marketing and Communications Coordinator, a paid, part-time contractor role (20-25 hours/week), with possibility of growth into a full-time employee position. This position offers an exciting opportunity to spearhead promotional efforts of our rapidly-growing international apostolate. The successful candidate will be a team player who is highly-organized, self-motivated, and an excellent communicator with a passion to share the mission and message of Life-Giving Wounds across a variety of platforms, in collaboration with the Life-Giving Wounds core team and under the direction of Dr. Daniel Meola, executive director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Create and implement an ongoing communications and marketing strategy for Life-Giving Wounds, including social media, email marketing, SEO, tracked ads, and so forth.

2) Assist with marketing and outreach for our Life-Giving Wounds chapters, including doing strategy sessions with them.

3) Manage, update, and optimize the Life-Giving Wounds website, Salesforce CRM, and marketing systems.

4) Report on analytics to measure success.

5) Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with targeted aspects of communications and marketing.

6) Assist with donor and sponsor communications.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1) Bachelor's degree or higher, preferred in marketing, communications, computer science, digital media, or the like.

2) 2+ relevant years of experience.

QUALIFICATIONS / ESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED:

1) Demonstrate a passion and understanding of the mission of Life-Giving Wounds and our foundation of Catholic faith, and uphold that mission and faith in all activities and interactions.

2) A combination of the following skills:

a) Proficiency in Squarespace, Mailchimp or similar email marketing software, social media platforms such as Facebook or Instagram

b) Working knowledge of Javascript, HTML5, CSS, UI/UX design

c) Some experience with APIs, custom integration development for ads, SEO principles, and Google Analytics

d) Basic Adobe Photoshop and Canva skills

e) Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus, but not required

3) Effective and timely interpersonal communication with team members and other LGW stakeholders (alumni, prospective attendees, etc.).

4) Flexible, open to direction, and ability to be innovative and creative.

5) Strong writing skills.

6) Ownership mentality towards goals and exceptional attention to details.

7) Proven experience in productively working remotely.

WORK REQUIREMENTS AND LOCATION:

Fully remote or hybrid position. If local to Clinton, MD, expectation of weekly in-person meetings. Regardless of location, expectation of availability for consistent check-ins during east coast working hours.

HOURS AND COMPENSATION:

Part-time position: 20-25 hours per week, scheduled at contractor's discretion with employer's knowledge; possibility of growth into a full-time position with benefits.

$25-35 / hour, based on experience, paid monthly after submission of time sheet.

**Note: this is currently a 1099 contractor role without tax implications for the employer or benefits provided for the contractor.
