Job Description

SUMMARY
The Director of Admissions ("Director") serves as lead employee responsible for student recruitment and enrollment management at Central Catholic High School ("CCHS"). In concert with the CCHS Administration and Admissions Committee, manages the application process and the process of notifying applicants of admissions decisions. Also manages a variety of enrollment initiatives including, but not limited to, Open House, the Raider for a Day shadow experience program, Student Ambassadors, high school information sessions, feeder school relations, and communications with prospective students and families. The Director tracks all relevant demographic and market data and uses this to assist the President and CCHS Administration in setting achievable enrollment projections and goals. The Director works to grow CCHS market share of prospective student pool including increased yields from applicant pool and admitted-student pool. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assumes overall responsibility for student recruitment and the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive enrollment management plan.
2. Coordinates the ninth grade and transfer student application process from inquiry through enrollment, working with the Admissions Committee to evaluate candidates and make admissions decisions.
3. In conjunction with the President and Director of Marketing and Communications, develops a comprehensive strategic marketing plan for the Admissions Office.
4. Plans, organizes, implements, hosts, and evaluates various admissions events including open houses, information nights, accepted students' events, new student and parent orientations, school visit days, school fairs, placement testing days, and admissions receptions.
5. Develops, coordinates, and executes an annual program plan for the Admissions Office.
6. Manages the Finalsite Enrollment database, collecting contact information, application, and enrollment materials for all prospective students.
7. Manages the Raider for a Day shadow experience program.
8. Manages the Student Ambassador program.
9. Manages the Montagne Scholars Program scholarship selection process in coordination with members of the CCHS Administration.
10. Enlists and trains faculty, alumni, and parent volunteers whose assistance is essential to successful admissions events.
11. Builds relationships and maintains a database of partner grammar schools, principals, and regional program contacts.
12. Makes self available for questions and inquiries from parents of prospective students as well as teachers, principals, pastors, and others who refer students to Central Catholic.
13. Maintains appropriate statistics on all recruiting activities for periodic reporting to the CCHS Administration and Admissions Committee.
14. Serves as a member of the Marketing and Communications Committee, contributing to the overall image and marketing of the school through the lens of prospective families.
15. Prepares reports required by the President and/or Principal regarding applicants or admitted students.
16. Prepares and maintains an Admissions Office budget.
17. With the Principal, organizes orientation programs for entering freshmen and their parents.
18. Assumes any additional duties required by the school that are: i.) consistent with the aforementioned duties, ii.) and consistent with the best interests of the school and its students, iii.) neither arbitrary, capricious nor punitive in nature.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SUPERVISION OF OTHER EMPLOYEES
The Director directly hires, supervises and evaluates the Assistant Director of Admissions and the Admissions Administrative Assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred).
At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Admissions with additional experience in education, sales, client management, marketing or related field.
Professional possesses ethical approach, integrity and maturity and is able to handle sensitive and confidential material discreetly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with and present to a wide range of audiences, including administrators, faculty, staff, vendors, prospective and current students and families.
Passionate commitment to advancing the mission of Central Catholic High School and the Marist philosophy and ability to communicate Central Catholic's story both orally and in writing.
Ability to think strategically and to develop effective plans with clear objectives, tactics and timelines.
Prior supervisory experience of either professional staff or student volunteers
Ability to successfully lead teams, work as a "team player" and possess energy and passion in a team environment.
A proven self-starter, organized and detail-oriented within a fast-paced work environment.
Competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GSuite, and Finalsite Enrollment software.
Ability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights & weekends, and travel locally.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Stooping, bending, traveling to/from locations on campus, ascending/descending stairs, reaching and sitting or standing for extended periods of time are common. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as well as conduct physical tours of campus required.
