Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Dominican Friars Foundation is looking to hire a data and analytics professional to support the Dominican mission of preaching for the salvation of souls. This will include:

Salesforce Database Management (75%)
- Database configuration: user setup, roles, profiles, groups, and permission sets
- Database maintenance
- Building automations for data cleaning and donor follow up
- Dashboard building
- Integrating Pardot email marketing data into Salesforce database
- Integrating Donorbox and other payment data into Salesforce database
- (Eventually) launching individual donor portals
- (Eventually) building out/customizing the Salesforce app for the use of gift officers on the road

Analytics (10%)
- Complex analytics and reporting
- Using historical data and predictive modeling to inform business decisions

Website (5%)
- Light website maintenance (in conjunction with contractors and other employees)
- Website analytics

IT Systems (10%)
- General IT Systems oversight, including network / server, check scanning interface, and computers / phones / printers

QUALIFICATIONS

1.) Faithfully Catholic
- The person holding this position will represent the Dominican Friars in public, will bear witness to the Catholic faith, and will occasionally lead others in prayer. Applicants must be practicing Catholics in good standing who assent to and profess the Catholic faith in its entirety as presented in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

2.) Mission-driven
- Passionate about the Dominican mission and charism, can articulate the "Dominican Difference" clearly
- Personal knowledge of the Dominican Friars or another religious community would be a plus

3.) Responsible
- Good project management skills; organized and detail oriented

4.) Strong team player
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop relationships of trust and respect with colleagues
- Good work ethic with a continued willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to work with multiple departments

5.) Robust data and analytics skills
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
- Proven experience in maintaining a database, building data pipelines, and drawing conclusions from large data sets
- Strong background in at least one programming language, with willingness to learn and use others
- Previous experience with Salesforce and Pardot would be a plus, ability to quickly master these programs is necessary
- Bachelor's degree in related field required, master's degree preferred (experience can substitute for formal education)

IMPORTANT NOTES

This role is compatible with a hybrid work schedule, which requires candidates to commute to our offices on the Upper East Side of Manhattan on a regular basis to start. After some time working for the Dominican Friars Foundation, this position could potentially be done mostly remotely.

The salary for an average candidate for this position will likely fall into the $80,000-100,000 range, but may be flexible for an exceptional candidate. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
