Job Description
The Catholic Peoples Foundation is actively looking for a dedicated and detail- oriented Office Administrator/Bookkeeper to join their team and support their operations full-time intheir central office located at 503 W. Historic Highway 66, Gallup, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
-Assist with general office administration and clerical duties.
-Type and format proposals, invoices, and other documents accurately.
-Manage and organize office paperwork and electronic files.
-Handle basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including payroll processing.
-Coordinate and assist in marketing activities, such as social media updates or email campaigns.
-Maintain efficient and organized office operations.
-Assist in yearly audits and formulation of yearly budgets.
-Communicate effectively with staff and external partners.
-Coordinate and lead volunteers, board members, staff and contractors in all phases of an event.
-Perform other office-related tasks as required.
Requirements
-A practicing Catholic is preferred.
-Proven experience in office administration or as a secretary.
-Strong proficiency with office software Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.
-Familiarity with basic accounting principles and payroll systems, and accounting software QuickBooks.
-Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
-Strong written and verbal communication.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
-A positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
-Follow best practices for handling cash, checks, and credit cards.
-Valid Driver's License and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
-Must pass a background check.
-Must complete Virtus Program training in safe environments for children and the vulnerable.
-Experience with event planning and fundraising is a plus.
-Bilingual/Biliterate English/Spanish proficiency is a plus.
