Job Description

The NACC is seeking a Development Manager to support and implement the organization's development strategy in collaboration with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Development Committee. This role is critical to securing financial resources that advance the mission and strategic priorities of the NACC. The Development Manager will focus on donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and fundraising initiatives to ensure sustained revenue growth.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES
• Serve as the primary staff liaison for the Development Committee, assisting in the execution of fundraising plans. Support committee initiatives by coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and tracking progress on fundraising goals.

Annual Fund:
* Manage and grow the NACC's Annual Fund by securing new, renewed, and increased contributions.
* Develop and execute fundraising campaigns via online giving, direct mail, digital outreach, special events, and direct proposals.

Major Giving:
* Build and maintain a pipeline of major donors, including individuals, religious orders, corporations, and foundations.
* Support the ongoing $1 million NACC Ministry Institute campaign, identifying and engaging potential contributors.

Infrastructure Development:
* Work with staff and consultants to establish a robust development infrastructure.
* Assist in the implementation of a new AMS and other tools to enhance donor management and fundraising efforts.

Planned Giving:
* Identify, cultivate, and solicit potential donors for legacy gifts, including bequests, charitable trusts, and annuities.
* Provide education on planned giving options and ensure appropriate stewardship of these contributions.

Grants Management:
* Oversee the full grant cycle, including research, proposal writing, submission, relationship management, and reporting.
* Identify new grant opportunities that align with NACC's mission and funding needs.

Stewardship and Donor Relations:
* Collaborate with the Executive Director to nurture relationships with donors through personalized engagement .
* Coordinate donor acknowledgments, thank-you communications, and recognition efforts.
* Schedule donor meetings and create meaningful touchpoints to enhance donor retention.

Metrics & Reporting:
* Track, analyze, and report on key fundraising metrics to assess progress toward revenue goals.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required.
5-7 years of experience in fundraising.
An understanding of the mission of the Catholic Church and comfortable working with ordained and lay ministers and collaborative decision-making environments.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals and groups of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
Good organizational ability; comfortable working in a remote environment.
Ability to travel nationally, as needed.
Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The starting salary for this full-time, exempt position is based on experience. The NACC offers a competitive compensation package that includes insurance (health, life, and disability), paid time off (vacation, sick, and personal days), and a 403(b)thrift plan.
