Job Description

Position Summary: Assist Director of Multimedia in efficient flow and coordination of all day-to-day operations for the department including distribution of information by social media, website, email, and mail, and answering or directing any questions which may come into the offices to the proper individuals. Because of very sensitive communications, confidentiality and teamwork is essential.

Essential Job Functions:
• Administer social media accounts
• Create original text and image content, manage posts ensuring high levels of web traffic customer engagement as directed by supervisor
• Post articles and other information to website as directed by supervisor
• Act as support to webmaster on Wordpress needs
• Arrange for deposit of all monies received by departments
• Arrange for all bills to be paid by both departments
• Maintain budget expenditure spreadsheet
• Maintain Miscellany article publication records spreadsheet
• Maintain priests, media, and other USPS mailing/email lists for department
• Distribute information diocesan-wide for department

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with vendors and maintain all office equipment
• Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
• Answer and appropriately handle or direct all telephone, email, written inquiries
• Pick up, open, sort, direct incoming mail as appropriate
• Assist with advertising design
• Perform all other duties that the department head may see fit to manage both departments

Education Requirements/Position Qualifications: Position requires confidentiality, organization, prioritization, ability to work under pressure, accuracy, ability to make decisions and work without direct supervision. As a social media manager, the staff member will be remain up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. In addition, they should have excellent communication skills and be able to express the diocese's views creatively. Microsoft word package (Word, Excel, Access), basic website management

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: This position works with computers, printers, fax, copy, and postage machines. A driver's license may be required. This position requires sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands more than 1/3 of the time, and occasional walking, climbing/balancing, and Stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling. This position lifts up to 25 lbs for office equipment or supplies that may need to be moved or stores; packages may need to be moved for mailing.
