Job Description
St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church and School in Medford, a growing parish of 4,200 families with a school of 400 students is seeking a full-time 2nd Grade Elementary Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a grade level partner and will be responsible for teaching elementary reading, writing, and math readiness skills to our 2nd grade students in a faith-filled environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate an understanding of best educational practices including hands-on learning, differentiated instruction and a belief in constructivist learning.Candidates should have experience teaching and be committed to a Catholic education. Minimum qualifications include holding a NJ Elementary Education or PreK-3rd Grade Certificate/Early Childhood Certificate as well as a good working knowledge of different technology platforms including Google Classroom. This position is ideal for someone who is looking for a close-knit school community where you can actively practice your faith. Successful candidates will be subject to fingerprinting/background check and will also have to attend Virtus training.
