Job Description
Mater Salvatoris College Preparatory School is an independent, faithful Catholic school PK-12th grade, under the direction of the Sisters of the Company of the Savior. We are currently seeking a dedicated High School Counselor for the 2024-2025 school year. Essential Qualities:
• Practicing Roman Catholic, in good standing
• Demonstrated passion for guiding and supporting high school students in their personal, academic, and career journeys
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a genuine empathy for the needs and concerns of students
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, displaying initiative and organization
Responsibilities/Capabilities:
• Provide comprehensive counseling services to high school students, addressing academic, and career-related needs
• Collaborate with faculty, parents, and external stakeholders to identify and implement strategies for student success
• Uphold and advance the mission of Mater Salvatoris, in alignment with the values of the Sisters of the Company of the Savior
Degree/Experience Requirements:
• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field from an accredited institution
• Previous experience in high school counseling or related field preferred
• Licensure or certification in school counseling or eligibility to obtain licensure
