Theology Teacher: Grades 9-12

Job Description

Cardinal Gibbons High School is a private Catholic High School in Raleigh, NC. We are a college preparatory school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh.

We are seeking applicants for a full-time Theology teacher to start in August 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a variety of student learning needs.
* Develop and implement assessment methods to monitor and evaluate student progress.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary teaching strategies.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
* Remain current with educational trends and integrate innovative teaching practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Relevant background and experience teaching Theology in a secondary school (9-12 grade).
2. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Theological Studies preferred.
3. Be of Catholic Faith
4. Have or complete Basic Catechist training.

SKILLS
1. Can demonstrate proficiency with new technology and a willingness to integrate technology into classroom lessons.
2. Possess the ability to contribute to other facets of school life beyond the classroom.
3. Collaboratively work with the other members of the Theology department and the whole school in academics, extra-curricular activities, and furthering the mission of our school.
