Job Description
Position Summary: The campus ministry associate leads the students of Assumption Middle and High Schools into a relationship with Jesus Christ. This evangelization takes place through the campus ministry associate's assistance to the chaplain in meeting the school's pastoral needs.Specifications

Reports to: Chaplain of Assumption High and Middle Schools
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Catholic religious studies or equivalent.
- Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
- Is able to work under the guidance of the chaplain for pastoral work.
- Lives in conformity with the moral teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Respects confidentiality inherent to position.
- Commitment to the mission and vision of Assumption Catholic Schools.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Co-teach an elective class with the chaplain (1 or 2 days a week).
- Be a visible presence in the school, build relationships with students, evangelize and mentor youth.
- Help coordinate fundraising opportunities to bolster youth ministry efforts.
- Assist the chaplain in the organization and religious activities such as school Rosaries, penance services, and school Masses.
- Create opportunities for growth in students' religious relationship with God at the school.
- Build and work with a core team of students to help minister with middle school retreats and evangelization efforts.
- Organize and lead yearly retreats for grades 6-12.
- Communicates with Directors of Religious Education and promotes youth ministry opportunities happening within the deanery.
