Anthony Pro-Life America Education Fund that strengthens and grows the pro-life safety net. The project works across seven categories of care that encompass assistance to address the reasons women resort to abortion.
The seven categories of care are:
1) Care Coordination and Pregnancy Support;
2) Women's Health;
3) Finances, Work and Education;
4) Material or Legal Support;
5) Recovery and Mental Health;
6) Prenatal Diagnosis; and
7) Care for Children.
The Regional Director is responsible for supervising a team of State Coordinators. The Regional Director will lead their team toward building meaningful connections, actions, and referrals between assistance providers, and facilitate community organizations (including churches) to support strengthen the pro-life safety net in their community. The Regional Director helps State Coordinators launch Her Communities, identifying both assets and gaps in care, activating the local community to find solutions through our Pathways program.
This is a full-time position supervised by Her PLAN State Program Director. The Regional Director may work remotely in one state she/he supervises, but office-based candidates are preferred. The regional director will travel frequently to State Coordinator states and to the Her PLAN headquarters in Shirlington, VA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise a remote team of up to six State Coordinators. Manage goal setting, professional development, training, and performance.
Lead State Coordinators in achieving the objectives of the organization in their individual states. Ensure quality output and accurate, timely reporting across these states.
Keep State Coordinator team on track to successfully launching Her Communities.
Plan and accompany the Her PLAN Director on introductory trips to prospective states; conduct introductory meetings and follow-up; spearhead recruiting and onboarding of new State Coordinators.
Manage state and national relationships that provide direct benefit to the Her PLAN program.
Work with the State Program Director to set programmatic goals and reinforce SBA and Her PLAN's vision and core values.
Work with the State Program Director to promote team cohesion and knowledge sharing across the State Coordinator team.
Attend specified Community Workshops periodically.
Travel to National Conferences on behalf of the State Program.
Participate in National Support Team meetings; serve as liaison between State Coordinators and National Support Team; bring ideas and needs from the states and cascade NST's updates and decisions.
Stay up-to-date on news and events relative to Her PLAN's categories of care or ministries or policy initiatives in these categories.
Lead Her PLAN's work to engage the community around our Pathways program; work with the Communications Coordinator to develop related content and provide updates to all State Coordinators.
Ensure that state program goals are met.
Requirements
5 or more years of experience with an organization serving pregnant women in one of our categories of care,5 or more years of experience in relevant state policy, public health, or non-profit work, or 5 or more years of experience working on grassroots campaign management or community organizing.
Competencies
High degree of motivation and initiative.
Must be able to communicate well in writing, over the phone, and in person.
Possess a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Must be competent in public speaking
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with grassroots campaigns or community organization is preferred
Ability to meet deadlines and manage the calendar.
Must be pro-life.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises a team of up to six State Coordinators.
Travel:
Travel within the Director's state, State Coordinators' states (both existing and new), and to National Conferences will be required for this position. Travel to HQ in Virginia is also required at least four weeks per year. It is anticipated the role will travel up to 50% of the time. Candidates must have a car and will be reimbursed for mileage.
