Job Description

Position Overview

The Formed Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing the content lifecycle on the Augustine Institute's Formed digital media platform. This includes handling content uploads, organizing metadata, managing collections and categories, and addressing technical issues that arise on the platform. The role requires a strong understanding of backend database management, front-end visual updates, and an ability to analyze data to drive performance improvements.

This full-time position will work on-site at the Augustine Institute campus in Florissant, MO.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Content Workflow

• Oversee the full lifecycle of content once it has been created and delivered to Formed, including content uploads, metadata organization, and database integration.

• Oversee the uploading, publishing, and organization of video, audio, and text content

• Ensure accurate and consistent collection creation and metadata tagging to enhance searchability and user experience.

• Manage data pushes and other technical setups to ensure smooth content flow and efficient data management.

Platform Operations

• Manage back-end category updates and publish front-end visuals to align with internal category calendars and liturgical seasons. • Implement platform fixes and bug resolutions, addressing technical issues reported by both internal and external teams or sources. • Monitor and report on recurring technical issues to drive long-term solutions.

Analytics and Performance Benchmarking

• Provide analytical data and insights on platform performance, user engagement, or content consumption trends, as requested internally or by content providers

• Monitor analytics to suggest improvements to enhance user experience and content visibility.

• Proactive in identifying issues and proposing effective solutions for content and technical challenges.

Database Optimization

• Lead initiatives to clean, organize, and maintain the platform's metadata, improving overall content discoverability. • Conduct regular audits to ensure content accuracy, proper tagging, and the overall health of the content database. • Develop and implement a standardized metadata framework to ensure consistency and clarity across all content categories. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify gaps in metadata and content categorization, addressing these areas to enhance user experience.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Information Technology, Design, Communications; or equivalent, related experience.

Experience

• 2 years of experience in content management, digital media operations, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in managing content workflows and platform operations.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in database management systems and content management systems (CMS).

• Familiarity with data integrations, data pushes, and technical setups.

• Experience with analytics tools to monitor and report on performance metrics.

• Demonstrate an understanding of Adobe Creative Suite for basic design tasks and collaboration with creative teams.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other office software, such as Slack, etc.

• Ability to learn new software and systems quickly, such as ClickUp, Lattice, etc.

• Familiarity with office equipment and troubleshooting

Soft Skills

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills

• Ability to analyze data and generate insights

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams

• Flexibility and adaptability to handle a variety of tasks and projects
