Job Description

Position Summary

As a Curriculum Developer at the Augustine Institute, this position will work with the Director of Curriculum to provide faithful and compelling curricular resources to serve the Catholic Church in keeping with the Augustine Institution's educational mission. The K-8 Curriculum Developer position focuses especially on developing curricular resources that are both innovative and faithful to Tradition for K-to-8 students in both parish and school environments.

Contribute to and influence the Augustine Institute's curriculum strategy
Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Augustine Institute curricular offerings, especially those aimed at a K-to-8 audience
Strategize and guide market research efforts and assist the Director of Curriculum in identifying best practices to help the Augustine Institute maintain a competitive advantage in its curricular offerings, especially those aimed at a K-to-8 audience
Positively contribute to a strong working culture, help the curriculum team efficiently drive toward project goals while maintaining mission focus, and collaborate well with other departments
Develop strong relationships with teachers and catechists to gather feedback on, test, and make continuous improvements to Augustine Institute curricular products
Support Augustine Institute curricular events (ex. workshops, conferences, and focus group) by delivering presentations and facilitating discussions
Travel occasionally to support the needs of the curriculum team and of the Augustine Institute

Qualifications
3+ years of experience teaching theology in the K-8 range at a Catholic school
3+ years of experience working with students in the K-8 range in a parish environment
Master's degree in theology required
Experience working with both students in the K-5 range and in the 6-8 range a strong plus
Experience working with neurodivergent students and/or students with disabilities a strong plus
Fluency in Spanish a strong plus
A Doctorate in theology or education a strong plus

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent writing skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and time management skills
Ability to collaborate well with others, across different departments
Deep familiarity with the Church's Tradition and how it is rooted in Scripture and salvation history
