Job Description

Position: Sales Representative West (Ministry Consultant)

West Territory - Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, North and South Dakota, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming

FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations)

Schedule: This full-time position (40 hours/week) will work remotely within the United States.

Pay Range: $55,000 -$65,000 plus opportunities for incentive compensation

Reporting to: Manager

Position Summary:

The Ministry Consultant is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for cultivating relationships, promoting the Augustine Institute's (AI) products and services and supporting the growth of our Catholic community through outreach and engagement efforts. This role combines sales acumen with a deep understanding of our mission for evangelization, products, sales administration of parishes and schools within our Catholic faith.

Responsibilities:

Sales and Outreach:
Proactively engage with parishes, schools, diocesan organizations, or communities and engage in discovery conversations to identify challenges and problems and prescribe appropriate AI products, services, events, and values.
Conduct outbound calls, emails and in-person visits to secure discovery appointments with parish and school representatives.
Utilize sales strategies to create customized packages and discuss the features and benefits of AI products, programs and services to close sales and encourage full participation in our portfolio.
Consistently achieve and exceed sales quota.
Relationship Building
Develop and nurture relationships with AI engaged parishes, providing support, guidance and information about products and services and upcoming events.
Act as the first line of contact of parishes and solve customer issues by coordinating with Parish Care, Customer Success or other relevant departments to resolve the issue.
Establish a consistent schedule for following up with community members. This could be through phone calls, emails or even in person visits, showing genuine care and support.
Sales Administration Support:
Maintain accurate records of communications and interactions with current customers and potential leads using the CRM software.
Community Engagement:
Actively participate in community events, gatherings, or conferences to represent the Augustine Institute and foster connections with customers.
Continual Learning and Growth:
Stay updated on Augustine Institute's new products and offerings, sales techniques to effectively communicate the value of our products.
Participate in training sessions to enhance sales skills and deepen understanding of Augustine Institute values.
Supervision and Support
Provide leadership and mentorship to the Inside Sales /Ministry Success Advocate, including training and ongoing support.
Collaborate with the Inside Sales/Ministry Success Advocate to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Inside Sales/Ministry Success Advocate, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

College degree preferred but not required, preferable in related field (Catholic Ministry, Sales, Marketing, Theology)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Proven experience in sales, customer service or outreach, preferably within Catholic ministry
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge and practical usage of the Augustine Institutes products (FORMED, Word of Life, Amen App) preferred.
A strong alignment with the values, mission and principles of the Catholic Church, general knowledge of diocesan organization and operations, and possess deep empathy for Catholic users of Augustine Institute products.
Ability to build rapport and trust.
Strong influencing skills, can build a compelling case that benefits the customer.
Passionate to help customers and solves problems, proposing solutions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform typing and use of office equipment, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Occasional Travel may be required in this role.

Travel 40% with occasional overnight stays

* The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
