OPENING FOR 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR:

Cathedral Preparatory School and Seminary is seeking a full time Science Teacher 9-12 to begin September 2024. In resume/cover letter, candidate must NOTE SPECIFIC SCIENCE CONCENTRATIONS he/she has taught or hopes to teach at Cathedral Prep.

- Must be Catholic and an exemplar of Catholic values in and out of the classroom;
- BA/BS and in Science required and/or MA/MS Degree in Science strongly preferred;
- Must be proficient with the NY State Science Learning Standards;
- Must be cognizant of current educational best practices;
- Must be able to incorporate primary and secondary sources into lessons;
- Must provide instruction to students on synthesizing information from documents using information from documents in writing;
- Must be proficient with current educational technology including SMART, iOS, internet, etc;
- New York State certification in Secondary Education, Science preferred.
