Job Description

Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School in Miami, Florida is looking for a Development Director. The Development Director at Carroll High School will play a key role in advancing the mission of our Catholic high school by leading efforts in fundraising, alumni relations, community engagement, and donor stewardship. This position is vital for securing the financial resources necessary to ensure the continued growth, excellence, and sustainability of the school. The Development Director will work closely with the administration, board members, faculty, and volunteers to develop and implement strategies that enhance the school's financial health while fostering a strong sense of community and connection among supporters. The Development Director performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
• Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience with donor management software.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster a culture of philanthropy within the school community.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and engage a variety of stakeholders.
• The ability to prudently make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, contractual agencies and the general public.
• Ability to be tenacious and gracious in interactions with parents, students, alumni and donors.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information learned in this position.
• The ability to plan and organize as necessary for carrying out job functions to the highest quality standards of Carroll High School.
• Must be able to perform with sustained concentration and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills including but not limited to word processing and Excel spread sheets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal using correct English grammar.
• Must follow all policies and regulations stated in the ADOM Employee's Manual, Carroll Faculty Handbook, Parent/Student Handbook.
• Able to work with flexible time schedule (may work Saturday and evening events; during summer as per request of Principal).
• Willingness to take on extracurricular duties as requested by the principal.
• Have a creative means of promoting the school and the ability to work outside the school for events that would promote the school.
• May at times work with the Activities Director and Alumni Relations Director for specific events that may promote the school.
• Deep understanding of Catholic education and its mission, with the ability to effectively communicate the school's values to a wide range of audiences.
• Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Fully committed and supportive of the mission and vision of Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School.
• Must have a Professional Demeanor since this person will be the first impression of the school to prospective families.
