Job Description

Mary Help of Christians Catholic School in Parkland, Florida has an opening for a qualified MS English and Language Arts Teacher, for the upcoming 2025 - 26 school year. This candidate can help students learn, apply higher order thinking skills, and is qualified to teach all levels of Middle School. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for middle school and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.

Qualifications:
*BS / BA Degree in Education or English.
*Florida department of Education Grades 6-8 teaching certificate for English and/or reading, temporary or professional required (or eligible).
*Experience in teaching Middle School and/or High School in ELA.
*Excellent classroom management skills.
*Strong presentation skills with skill in use of instructional technologies.
*Proficiency with interactive boards, Canvas, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
*Proficiency with iPad use and applications
*Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
*Good spelling and grammar are required.
*Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Catholic environment preferred.

Must have a professional demeanor.
