Overview

Holy Family Classical School seeks a dedicated, mission-driven Montessori Guide who is committed to forming Christian disciples through a classical, Catholic education.

The Montessori Guide will actively participate in building an integrated, Christ-centered classroom for students ages 3-6 that fosters a love for truth, goodness, beauty, and unity in alignment with the school's mission. As a ministerial role, this position involves modeling Catholic virtues and integrating faith across all subject areas. Founded by Saint Katharine Drexel over 125 years ago, Holy Family Classical School provides an exceptional Catholic and classical education in the spirit of our saintly foundress.

Position Overview:
The Montessori Guide at Holy Family Classical School is responsible for creating and maintaining a prepared Montessori environment that fosters independence, exploration, and a love of learning. This role supports the development of the child across the domains: cognitive, language, math, physical, and social-emotional with integration of Catholic Faith & culture throughout the environment. The Montessori Guide works collaboratively with parents, faculty, and administration to support the total development of the students and uphold the mission and values of the school.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement the Montessori philosophy and methodology in alignment with Catholic teachings.
• Prepare and maintain a developmentally appropriate, organized, and engaging Montessori classroom environment.
• Guide students in their intellectual, spiritual, and social development through individualized and group instruction.
• Foster a culture of respect, responsibility, and independence in the classroom.
• Collaborate with parents to support students' growth and faith formation.
• Assess student progress through observation and Montessori-based evaluations.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and faith formation opportunities.
• Uphold the Catholic mission of the school by modeling and fostering virtue and Christian discipleship.

Qualifications:
• AMI Montessori certification (Primary or Elementary level) preferred, or willingness to work towards certification.
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, committed to Catholic education.
• Experience teaching in a Montessori or Catholic school setting preferred.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for fostering a love of learning and faith formation in children.

Compensation
Starting salary is based on experience, and includes medical, dental, vision, matching retirement, and paid vacation and holiday.
