Job Description

POSITION/JOB GOAL:

Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Guadalupe is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time math and science instructor for grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will have a background in mathematics and/or science, a love for teaching, and a commitment to the Catholic intellectual tradition. In this role, the selected candidate may provide instruction in the disciplines of Euclidean Geometry, Algebra I & II, Pre-calculus, Astronomy and/or Physics according to the Chesterton Academy Classical Curriculum. The selected candidate will also act as a role model for the students, and work in collaboration with faculty and staff in furthering the mission of the academy.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor's or master's degree in mathematics or general science is required.
• Two to Five years of teaching experience is preferred.
• A familiarity with Classical Education is preferred.
• Must be a practicing Catholic willing to take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and a Profession of Faith.
• Must demonstrate excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Possess an understanding of the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience and education.
