Job Description

Position Summary:
The Events Administrator will work to support the functional effectiveness of the AFC events, ministry, and hospitality teams through handling administrative matters for department heads while acting as a point of contact for external parties.

Reports To: National Events Manager
Direct Reports: None
Exempt Status: Exempt
Position Status: Full-Time
Location: Bloomingdale, OH (on-site)
Salary Range: $36,000 - $50,000 depending on experience

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• From time to time the employee will supervise youth and adult volunteers and other department personnel

Major Duties and Functions:
• Event speaker communication, contract processing, and hospitality coordination
• Assist in the creation and organization of event planning files
• Communication with other organizations regarding AFC ministry and outreach (Family Consecration Workshops, Regional Holy Family Fests, other partnerships and collaborations)
• Assist with task, meeting, and event scheduling
• Event and hospitality materials/supplies/services acquisition (furnishings, food, rentals, etc.)
• Periodic attendance at meetings or events and travel around the country and local community is possible
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Events Leadership team, including special projects to assist in the overall expansion of the AFC's mission of Family Consecration

Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience in an administrative role.

Physical Requirements:
• The employee should be expected to experience prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and using a computer.
• The employee will be occasionally required to stand and walk for 30 minutes or more.
• The employee may occasionally be required to stand, reach, bend and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Specific vision and hearing abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision and ability to hear conversations in office and group settings.
