Job Description
Sacred Heart Academy is seeking a full-time school nurse for the 2025-2026 school year.Primary Function: To provide clinic assistance to students, faculty, and staff.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Conducts emergency care and first aid for accidents and illnesses.
Administer medications and monitor delegated medication administration
Maintains detailed student health records regarding clinic visits, medical records of students, screening results, physical examinations, and immunization records in accordance with diocesan policies and procedures.
Acts as a resource to faculty regarding health education.
Coordinates health screenings and staff training (i.e., vision, hearing, CPR training for faculty/staff).
Keeps inventory and orders supplies (within the budget allotted) when needed.
Follows the Universal Precautions and Bloodborne Pathogen requirements.
Respects the confidentiality of information this position becomes privy to.
Upholds the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Accepts other miscellaneous duties related to health/clinic care as defined by the principal.
