Mission
Villa Joseph Marie High School (www.vjmhs.org) in Holland, Pennsylvania, a Catholic, college preparatory secondary school for young women sponsored by the Sisters of St. Casimir, is seeking a dynamic and collaborative principal. Building on 90 years of tradition in academic excellence and commitment to single gender education, Villa Joseph Marie High School provides young women with a premier educational experience on a 55-acre wooded campus in Bucks County.

Candidate Attributes
The principal of Villa Joseph Marie High School will be an energetic and visionary instructional leader who exemplifies the Catholic mission of the school and demonstrates a commitment to secondary education for young women. The principal will lead talented faculty and staff who empower young women to grow and succeed through faith, education, service, and community. The principal will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder prepared to participate fully in the life of the school, be comfortable in a president/principal model of administration, and be responsible for continuing the school's legacy of success while leading with a clear vision for future innovation in academics, technology, and co-curricular programs.

Essential Functions
Mission Clarity and Catholic Identity
- Ensure that all religious, academic and student affairs programs
reflect the Catholic mission, charism, and identity of the school

Administration
- Create and sustain a culture of empowerment, opportunity and
equity
- Implement plans and policies as these relate to academic and
student affairs
- Direct the educational (internal/day-to-day) aspects of the school
operation

Personnel
- Implement and monitor personnel policies in consultation with
the president and the human resources team
- Employ, evaluate, coach when necessary, and dismiss faculty
members
- Appoint chairpersons, moderators and coaches
- Keep all personnel information confidential

Essential Skills/ Requirements/ Educational / Experience
- Master's Degree in Education or a related field
- Certification in Educational Leadership (principal's certification)
- Successful experience in Catholic, public, or independent school
- Extensive teaching experience
- Be a Catholic in good standing with the Church, as documented by a letter from the candidate's pastor
