Boys' Winter Track Coach

Job Description

Holy Trinity Diocesan High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Winter Track Coach to lead and develop student-athletes in our indoor track and field program.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for track and field, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering athletic excellence, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices for the winter track team.

Develop conditioning, technique, and event-specific training programs for sprinters, distance runners, jumpers, and throwers.

Promote a positive and inclusive team environment that supports academic success and character development.

Manage meet entries, event lineups, and athlete performance tracking.

Supervise students during practices, meets, and travel.

Ensure all activities adhere to school policies, league regulations, and safety standards.

Communicate regularly with the Athletic Director, assistant coaches, student-athletes, and parents.

Maintain and inventory all team equipment and uniforms.

Qualifications
Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred.

Strong knowledge of indoor track and field events and training principles.

Excellent communication, organization, and motivational skills.

Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and parents.

Must meet all school and state coaching certification requirements (e.g., CPR/AED, First Aid, coaching certification).

Work Schedule
• Seasonal position (Winter: approximately November - March).
• Practices held after school hours, with meets scheduled on evenings and weekends.
