Job Description

The Pope John Paul II Academy in Montrose, Colorado is searching for a Kindergarten Teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year.
Candidates should be active, faithful Catholics who have a heart for serving the mission of Catholic education. Teacher licensure/state certification is not a requirement.

The academy has small class sizes, and teacher mentoring and professional development are offered.

Basic Qualifications:

-Practicing Catholic who is committed to teaching within the tradition of the Catholic Faith.
-A love for working with children.
-Strong classroom management.
-Ability to differentiate instruction according to varying learning styles and levels.
-Professional, organized, and punctual.
-Strong oral and writing communication skills.
-Team player, naturally building healthy, professional relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
-Pedagogical virtues of patience, clarity, and kindness.
-Knowledge and love for the Catholic Faith and its tradition of academic excellence.
-Experience in education is preferred but not required (teacher licensure is not required).
