JOB DETAILS
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is currently seeking an Assistant Professor of Philosophy for Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, beginning in the 2009-2010 academic year.
Ph.D. in Philosophy is required (ABD considered). The successful candidate will teach a 4/4 load in the College Division. Candidate must possess strong sense of perennial philosophy and have an appreciation for ancient and medieval thought, including a familiarity with the work of Saint Thomas Aquinas. Candidate will be able to teach Introduction to Philosophy, Symbolic and Syllogistic Logic, Epistemology, and the History of Western Philosophy with a concentration in Later Modern and Contemporary Philosophy (nineteenth and twentieth centuries).
Candidate must demonstrate prior teaching excellence and be a practicing Catholic. Candidate will make a profession of faith and oath of fidelity to the Magisterium.
