Job Description

The Catholic Community Fund (CCF) is in an unprecedented time of growth as it rebrands itself as the face of the Catholic community of Greater Boston. CCF provides over $5 million each year in philanthropic support in the areas of social services, education, health, and faith to 40 communities in eastern Massachusetts. The Program Associate will be a key partner and collaborator, overseeing the daily work of and contributing to the strategic development of CCF and its signature programs, the Catholic Health Foundation (CHF) and Catholic Legacy Society. This position is perfect for a self-starter who is interested in being part of a growing organization and wants to further their skills in program management and fundraising. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Catholic Community Fund (CCF):
Serve as a liaison to the board of trustees and its committees by providing administrative and technical support assistance, including:
materials, set up and follow-up from board meetings
scheduling and follow-up with board sub- committees
sending quarterly statements and checks to donors
Assist with event planning, including working with vendors, tracking RSVPs, and preparing materials for events such as board meetings, philanthropic convenings, and annual golf tournament
Assist in the management of endowment funds including:
Organizing and developing a calendar and process for fund distributions
Develop online application and reporting process for funds
Serve as liaison with finance department to ensure donor funds are recorded and distributed appropriately
Work with marketing and communications team to develop stories and materials to promote the CCF brands, particularly through social media.

Catholic Health Foundation (CHF):
Serve as the primary contact for the Foundant Grant database, assisting grantees and CHF staff with troubleshooting during the application, review, and distribution process
Coordinate annual grant distribution process with finance department
Attend site visits to grantees and assist with follow-up, including stories, collaboration, and social media posts

Catholic Legacy Society:
Manage Catholic Legacy Society website, including fulfillment of requests for planned giving materials
Collaborate on production of Catholic Legacy Society marketing materials, including design, content, and production calendar
Develop tracking system and process in Raiser's Edge database for planned giving prospects and donors
Assist with elevating the number of external conversations that include planned giving and legacy gifts.

Other:
Assist with research for grant opportunities from private foundations as well as state and federal grants
Assist with writing grant proposals and reports
Assist with writing and tracking acknowledgement letters to high level donors
Assist with other duties as needed/assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
3+ years of experience in non-profit organizations, communications, fundraising, or other related fields
Excellent communication skills, including strong writing and proofreading skills
Project management skills and attention to detail; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Ability to form and sustain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in a complex environment
Strong work ethic, highly responsive and dedicated to results, ability to work independently and take ownership of special projects
Excellent research skills and a resourceful approach
Interest in emerging trends in philanthropy and community foundations
Good sense of humor and willingness to be flexible
Appreciation of Catholic faith and culture
