Job Description

Overview

St. Hilary's new missions director will be absolutely passionate about missions - organizing them, going on them, and encouraging other to to do the same.

We have a bias towards a practicing Catholic but will make an exception for an outstanding candidate.

If you are passionate about missions regionally, nationally, and internationally, we encourage you to apply. If you have not been on your first mission yet, we really encourage you to do that but you're probably not a fit for this job.

You will be responsible for recommending, equipping, and championing the strategies and teams necessary to address the needs of under-resourced individuals in our communities, region, nation and world. You will function as a full member of the core leadership team, providing leadership to volunteers and prayerful insight for the direction of the ministry as a whole. You will partner with the Pastor, staff, and volunteers to ensure that St. Hilary is most effectively harnessing the passion, talents and resources of the congregation to meet the needs of under-resourced individuals, with a goal of helping them move toward thriving self-sufficiency.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy helping others.

You will be organized, an excellent communicator and be able to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations. You are able to successfully coordinate efforts from conception to completion and solve problems independently.

Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Pastor and staff, create a Missions Plan for St. Hilary Church.
Identify and engage Missions Partners.
Recruit, equip, train, and lead missionaries for local and international service opportunities and experiences.
Develop service opportunities for parishioners of all ages who are not traveling on mission trips.
Ensure St. Hilary's internal database for mission opportunities is accurate and well-maintained.
Champion Missions Communications on website, social media, blog and email.
Other duties as may be assigned by the Pastor.
Hours are flexible, with a preference for a full time candidate.
