Job Description

Join our Faith-based Mission to Inspire and Educate at Holy Rosary Academy.

Position: Interim School Principal
Location: Holy Rosary Academy, Nashville, Tennessee
Start Date: July 2024

About Holy Rosary Academy:
Founded in 1954 and twice honored as a National Blue Ribbon School, Holy Rosary Academy serves a thriving, diverse, and family-oriented community of approximately 350 students from Pre-K2 to 8th grade. Located in the vibrant Donelson area of Nashville, our coeducational Catholic school is deeply committed to discipleship through education. We offer a curriculum that educates and inspires our students to live Christ-centered lives.

What We Offer:
•A Tradition of Excellence: With a history of academic and spiritual excellence, we prepare students to be leaders in their Catholic and civic communities, bringing faith and responsibility to every aspect of their lives.
•A Community United in Mission: Our students engage deeply in our community's spiritual life, attending Mass twice weekly and participating in rosary and adoration. These practices, alongside sacramental preparation and other devotions, are not just part of our routine-they're at the heart of our school's identity and educational philosophy. This commitment fosters a strong unity between our parish and school as faculty, students, and parish members work together towards shared spiritual and academic goals.
•Emphasis on Culture: We have dedicated ourselves to building an atmosphere of trust, mutual respect, and open communication. We support our teachers in excelling at their craft, challenge our students to thrive academically and personally, and encourage the entire community to foster a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie. This vibrant culture actively enhances educational outcomes and strengthens our communal bonds.
•Innovative Learning Environments: Our classrooms are at the forefront of educational technology, equipped with a 2:1 ratio of digital devices to students. This exceptional access ensures that every student can engage with interactive and personalized learning experiences, fostering intellectual and spiritual growth.
•Professional and Community Support: Our team of educators and staff, including our Directors of Admissions, Communications, Parish Finance, and Facilities, as well as our Assistant Principal and Office Manager, will support you well. They are committed to fostering academic and spiritual excellence, embodying principles of communication, tradition, and respect. This collaborative and cohesive leadership approach actively pursues our educational mission with vigor and unity.

What You Will Bring:
•Faith and Leadership: As a devout Catholic, you have a robust understanding of and a commitment to the Church's teachings, using education as a tool for faith sharing.
•Educational Expertise: With at least three years of experience in a Catholic school setting and a master's degree in Education Leadership and Supervision or Curriculum, you are prepared to guide our academic and Catholic mission.
•Community and Mission-Driven Passion: With exceptional interpersonal skills, you inspire our families and faculty towards a unified vision of educational excellence intertwined with spiritual growth.

Your Role:
•Academic and Faith Formation: Lead the development and implementation of a curriculum that reflects our Catholic values and fosters faith formation, ensuring that all teaching and learning activities effectively convey these core principles.
•Engaged and Vibrant Student Life: Enhance student life and community engagement by promoting Christ-centered co-curricular programs, creating an environment where students thrive personally and spiritually.
•Administrative Excellence: Work closely with the assistant principal and support staff to develop their roles to streamline school operations and enhance educational outcomes.
•Mission Advocacy: Work closely with the parish to align the school's activities and ethos with the church's broader mission, promoting a unified approach to education and evangelization.
•Faculty Development: Nurture and encourage professional growth through learning communities and mentorships. Oversee the evaluation process to empower our educators to excel both in the classroom and in their broader professional lives.
•Parental Engagement: Build trust and foster a strong community through transparent and effective communication, ensuring parents are heard and actively involved. Recognizing parents as the primary educators of their children, we will accompany them on their journey to promote a clear vision and shared educational goals.
