Job Description

The Pastoral Associate is responsible for the overall direction of Faith Formation, Youth Ministry, Parish Outreach Programs and other administrative functions. The Coordinator of Religious Education and Youth Ministry Coordinator report to the Pastoral Associate. The Pastoral Associate reports to the Pastor.
Duties include the following:
• Interview, counsel and assist clients in need
• Coordinate the Food Pantry Assistance Program
• Coordinate and Facilitate the Good Samaritan Ministry and various projects
• Record, monitor and reconcile gift cards and cash fund distributions
• Facilitate the Bereavement Support Group sessions twice per year
• Oversee the Homebound Ministry
• Moderate the Lazarus Ministry and Annual Mass of Remembrance
• Plan and coordinate the Annual Parish Lenten Mission
• Manage and update the Parish Website and Facebook Page
• Prepare the Weekly Hubspot communication to parishioners
• Administer WeShare platform and assist Business Manager
• Administer of ECatholic payments
• Coordinate Jumbo 50/50 and Christmas Raffles
• Coordinate Parsippany Fall Festival participation
• Coordinate Youth Protection Program-maintain records and enforce diocesan safe environment policies for those who work with minors
• Administer background checks as required
• Take minutes for the monthly Staff Meetings
• Coordinate the Thanksgiving Mass preparation
• Oversee the Faith Formation Program through the Coordinator for Religious Education
• Oversee the Youth Ministry Program through the Youth Ministry Coordinator

Qualifications:
• A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
• Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Education or Church Management (Master's preferred)
• Experience in parish administration
• Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, volunteers, parishioners and clients
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
• Must pass a background check and receive a Certificate in Protecting God's Children training

This is a full-time position, some evenings or weekend duties as required.
Compensation based on experience and knowledge.
