Job Description

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
MARY'S SHELTER - Elberta, Alabama

Mary's Shelter, Inc. is a Catholic organization that includes a residential home for homeless pregnant women and their children, a transitional housing facility and a thrift store. The Development Director is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of fundraising and resource development to advance the mission and strategic priorities of Mary's Shelter.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree or CFRE preferred
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in non-profit fundraising
Demonstrated success in securing significant philanthropic support from individuals, corporations and foundations
Ability to articulate compelling case for support verbally and in writing
Public Speaking experience required
Grant writing experience preferred
Proficiency with donor management systems required and Donor Perfect proficiency preferred
Experience with special event management required
Deep commitment to the mission, vision and values of Mary's Shelter

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Health, vision, dental, & life insurance premiums paid by Mary's Shelter.
