PRODUCER (EWTN News Nightly)
Full-time, onsite in Washington, D.C. Not remote-eligible.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
As the Producer, you will work with the News Nightly editorial team to produce content and fulfill other responsibilities with a strict deadline to produce a quality daily newscast.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Produce discussion segments on national/international news from a Catholic perspective, including writing/editing news scripts under tight deadlines
Communicate with the Sr. Producer and Host about guests, including extensive research and potential discussion questions.
Pitch original content stories that would make good discussion or news segments based on current affairs.
Choose videos, sound bites, and still photos to be included in the broadcast.
Collaborate with pre- and post-production team members in order to produce editorially sound and visually appealing broadcasts that meet EWTN and Industry standards.

ABOUT YOU:
* You have 3-5 years prior experience working in TV broadcast production/programming, preferably in a local or national newsroom environment.
* You possess excellent broadcast writing & communication skills, and are able to consistently demonstrate solid news judgment and a meticulous level of attention to detail.
* You have a proven understanding of the Catholic faith and how it relates to the programming goals of the Network.
* You exhibit a strong understanding of local, national, and international news, as well as key life issues relevant to EWTN's Global Catholic audience.
* You are able to communicate clearly with control room staff and remote reporters/guests; successfully troubleshoot and resolve any issues as they arise.
* You are fluent on wide variety of social media platforms.
* You are able to collaborate easily within a team, and also work well independently and proactively.
* You are able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends/nights when required.
You hold a bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.

PREFERRED:
* Bilingual; proficient in reading/writing/speaking in any language(s) in addition to English; strongly prefer Spanish and/or Italian.
* Experience utilizing broadcast software programs, i.e., ENPS (or iNews).
