Job Description
Saint Pius X Parish in Granger, IN, is seeking a full-time Audio/Visual Specialist to troubleshoot, maintain and operate the audio/visual technology systems utilized by the parish and school, organize and manage the parish audio/visual ministry, evaluate and establish audio/visualneeds for special events, and create/produce videos for ministry and promotional work.
Responsibilities include:
Performs routine and semi-routine technical tasks to troubleshoot, maintain and operate the audio/visual (A/V) technology systems utilized by the parish and school in the Parish Education Center, Church, and Parish Life Center.
Organizes and manages the parish audio/visual ministry regularly running the operations; recruits, trains, and oversees ministry volunteers to handle the A/V operations during Masses and special events; develops and manages the A/V schedule.
Regularly works with Stewardship and Engagement Department, developing and editing videos for storytelling of ministries and promotional work utilizing Adobe Premier.
Evaluates and establishes audio/visual needs for special events; establishes an A/V technology plan for events and activities; assists with and/or designates volunteer to set-up A/V components for use at parish meetings and events.
Preferred candidate qualification:
Associate's degree in audio/visual technology or a closely related field.
A minimum of one to three years of experience in A/V practices and procedures.
Must have familiarity with the order of the Catholic Mass.
Able to operate independently to develop and implement new projects, collaborating with parish staff and volunteers as needed.
