Job Description

Position: Advancement Associate
Organization: FIRE Foundation of Denver
Location: Remote (Denver metro required, with plans to transition in-office)
Reports to: Executive Director

Mission: FIRE Foundation of Denver's mission is to champion the inclusion of students with disabilities in Catholic schools by providing educational resources, fundraising, and promoting a culture of belonging.

Role Overview:
As an Advancement Associate, you will be a dynamic force in our fast-paced environment, driving our development, communication, and special event initiatives to new heights. You'll collaborate closely with the Executive Director, volunteers, and the Board of Directors, playing a pivotal role in achieving and surpassing our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Development Management: Oversee our donor database, ensuring meticulous gift entry and acknowledgment. Cultivate relationships and expand our giving circles, including teachers, monthly donors, corporate gifts, and Parishes. Manage online giving programs.

Event Coordination: Support on-going event management for FIRE Denver's major fundraisers. Actively participate in Committee Meetings, planning sessions, and the management of volunteers.Take charge as the day-of coordinator for events, liaising with vendors and rallying volunteers to create memorable experiences.

Digital Engagement: Manage and elevate our social media presence, from designing content to optimizing ads and engagement. Keep our community informed and engaged with a monthly newsletter and maintain an up-to-date, inviting website.

Volunteer Stewardship: Play a vital role in recruiting, engaging, and appreciating our volunteers, who are the backbone of our efforts. Including but not limited to event volunteers, Friends of FIRE liaisons, and other donors of time and talent.
Administrative Support: Assist the Executive Director with various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.

Desired Qualifications:
Background in communication, fundraising, or a related field
Detail-oriented, with a flair for event planning and project management.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Organized, personable, self-motivated, and a team player.
Practicing Catholic with commitment to the Church's teaching on the dignity of the human person, and a commitment to the inclusion of people with significant disabilities in Catholic schools. The individual will have a supportive attitude towards the Catholic Church, her teachings and her work and will refrain from public promotion or approval of, any conduct or lifestyle that would discredit, disgrace, or cause scandal in relationship to the Catholic Church in Northern Colorado.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, donor database/CRM systems, and email marketing tools like MailChimp.
Skilled in graphic design software such as Canva or InDesign. Website design and development experience a plus.
Supportive of the Catholic Church's teachings and mission.
Personal experience or connection with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
College degree preferred
